User Manual:

1. Using a compass:

   • Open the top cover of the compass (if it is closed) to see the compass needle.
   • Hold the compass horizontally so that the needle can move freely.
   • Wait until the needle stabilizes and points north. The needle has a tip that points to the north (N).

2. Using a sundial:

1. • Set the compass so that the needle points north.
   • Sundials work when the sun is visible. Open the arms of the sundial to create a shadow on the dial.
   • Adjust the arm (gnomon) to the appropriate angle, depending on the time of day and the latitude.
   • The shadow cast on the clock face will indicate the current solar time.
